This staged recital, co-created by Yvette Loynaz and Mauricio Villanueva, brings together in 3 Acts a timeless love story told through the songs of some of Latin-America’s and Spain’s most well-known and treasured composers. This time the songs tell the story. From passion, to betrayal, to forgiveness, enjoy this timeless music as these artists delve into the characters of each song and celebrate their heritage through its beautiful music… Welcome to a small town Havana bar known as ‘Los Perdidos’ and meet our lovers as their story unfolds one hot summer night ‘en el barrio latino’!
Featuring the music of Spanish and Latin-American composers such as Ernesto Lecuona, Isolina Carrillo, Rafael Hernández, Joaquín Turina, Manuel de Falla, Fernando Obradors, Pedro Luna, Pedro Galindo, Consuelo Velázquez, Manuel Ponce, Agustín Lara, Maria Grever, Carlos Guastavino, and Daniel Catán.
